Thursday Challenge: Three of anything

I got this meme from Thursday Challenge.
I got a new Canon Powershot IS5 in February. Back when I was experimenting actively with it, I took this shot. The camera has a feature that lets you focus on one color, leaving the rest black and white. I really need to pick up my camera more.

1. Do you like waffles?
Yep, but I like pancakes better. Don’t feel like fooling with the waffle iron. However, give me Blueberry Eggos and I’m satisfied.
2. Name 3 things that is within your reach right now, excluding anything to do with your computer/laptop.
1. Cell Phone
2. My peach-flavored drink (Wal-mart brand of Crystal Light)
3. Pen
3. Do you hang laundry out on a line outside? NEVER.
4. Loss of vision, ability to speak or hearing — which do you choose? (you have to choose one.…)
I’ll choose the ability to speak. I’ll be a texting/IM’ing/note-writing chick.
5. On a scale from 1 — 10, how are your computer skills?
I’d say an 8. I don’t usually require much help, but I’m sure there are more things I could learn!
6. Do you volunteer or donate to anything around the holidays?
Yes, I participate in Angel Tree. It’s an organization that provides Christmas presents for the children of incarcerated parents.
7. If a person receives a DUI while in government office, should he lose his/her position?
No. Unless the DUI punishment includes jail time.
8. Do you take vitamins?
No. I should..but I don’t.
9. Do you wear fingernail polish?
Every once in a while. I used to be at the nail shop FAITHFULLY every 2 weeks. Now? Haven’t been since summer.
10. If every flower in the world only grew into one color, which color would you want? PURPLE!!

Good stuff. I’ll probably have to refer back to it at least once a month.

- Thank you, Lord, for choosing me as one of your own. I cannot imagine how my life would be if I was not your daughter. You have been my father since my earthly father abdicated his position. I will never forget the person I was before you saved me. You are worthy of all honor and praise for this ALONE.
- Thank you, Lord, for my son. I didn’t make the right choice. I got pregnant out of wedlock. But you, who works everything out for my good, gave me the light of my life, and you you continually use him to mold me into the woman you want me to be. You show me your provision EVERY day in how you enable me to take care of him. When I wake up in the morning and hear him singing your praises, or listen to him talk about you, I’m reminded of how simple the Gospel really is.
- Thank you, Lord, for my mother. She is my best friend and my biggest fan. She also speaks the truth in love when I need it, whether I want to hear it or not. She’s a great grandmother, and my son adores her. I know she always has my back.
- Thank you, Lord, for steady employment. I lost a job with good pay and excellent benefits in 2006. After working for my son’s daycare for a year, I needed to find something that paid better. I went to a temp agency (should be your first stop if you ever need work) and they sent me to a non-profit organization in the summer of 2007. In March of 2008, I was hired full time. The money is better than I was making last year, the benefits are great, the atmosphere is stress-free…AND it’s a 10 minute bus ride from home. NO MORE COMMUTING DOWNTOWN!
- Thank you, Lord, for answered prayer. In the past year, I’ve prayed for my family, my church, my job, my spiritual growth, and I’ve seen your hand in all of these things. It’s amazing that you even incline your ear toward me!
